Winter Springs High School Band of Gold
Our Band Family
The Winter Springs High School Band of Gold is located in Winter Springs, Florida. Our band, composed of approximately 100 band and color guard members, performs their pre-game and half-time shows at every football game in the fall. The rest of the year is dedicated to concert music and Winter Guard competitions.
Under the direction of Kyle Ferland, the Band of Gold has achieved superior ratings from the Florida Bandmasters Associations in both concert and marching competitions at the district and state levels.
The WSHS BBA is a dedicated and hardworking parent booster organization, which supports the band directors and band students.
We are a 501c3 organization and appreciate any contributions to our band program from our valuable sponsors.

Band is Family.
The Winter Springs High School Band of Gold isn’t just a band. We’re a family. Being a part of the band or Pure Gold Color Guard is an amazing experience! As a student, not only do you learn, have fun, and grow as a musician, but you easily make friends and gain valuable high school connections. As a parent or Band Booster, you get a chance to make a difference in our students’ lives and meet some awesome people.

Volunteers are ALWAYS needed for home AND away games!
We need 2-3 parents to be in charge of Health and Safety. The First Aid tent is available during outdoor practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the marching season.
We need 1-2 parents to help with hospitality. We have a couple of events where we provide drinks/food to students and/or guests
We need 2 parents to help with transportation. There are 6 away games and 2 other events to attend this season. We rent a Penske Truck to transport equipment and larger instruments
We will need chaperones throughout the year to volunteer for games and other events
Those who are interested must be an approved dividend. You can sign up as a dividend through the SCPS website.
